Back again....

I have not been in for awhile because my daughter has spent most of the time on the computer while she was here and I did not get much computer time. Only later at night but again I got my email done, I was ready for bed.

While I still mourn the loss of our pet, we have a minor miracle of sorts. This is a feral cat that is the short haired version of one of our other cats and my daughter always said she would love a short haired version of Ronnie. Hubby and I have decided to tame this one for her. Any hints will be welcome. I have not named it as I do not want to bond with it or have it bond with me. We cannot get much more than a few feet from where it is til it bolts on us.

We think it is female and we are going to take it to our vet and have him look at it. Well, I have some blogs to visit so will be back tomorrow.

Good luck. Patience and persistence may pay off.

Glad you're back. I've tamed 2 ferals. Patience, patience, patience ... slow movements, soft voices, stay down low at her level, and treats and more patience!! Lots of tasty treats! Before you know it, she'll sit on your lap to eat and want to have a good head scratchin'.

Beautiful little animal. I do hope you can tame it. Not only so your daughter can have an animal companion but also for the cat's sake. Life is dangerous for ferals. As you know, disease, parasites, and accidents are perils they must endure. The cat will be healthier and enjoy a longer lfe (usually) in a good home.

Thank you for your input on my war blog. I need to clarify something, however. This Is War is a blog concerning the war from the Arabs' viewpoint or experience. I have another war blog, Imperial Sacrifices, concerning the US and Allies' viewpoint or experience. I am a prolific poster at times and having it all on one blog made the pages much too long, so I divided them.

I am not against Israel nor against Lebanon nor Iraq. I am against war, the terrible pain, death and destruction involved in man's inhumanity to man. I am an equal opportunity blogger- I post on both sides. I post negative behavior on the part of our military but that doesn't mean I am against our service members. Quite the contrary; I support our troops completely; I support our troops but I post the bad that they do also. I post, warts and all, for all sides.

I strongly disapprove of our government's policies but I am not against America. I love my country and our people very much and I am a loyal American.

I have articles and photos concerning the Israelis' suffering also, although there is much less material and photos available on Israel.

I also have photos and articles of the good things our service members are doing in Iraq; again, the photos and material for the good guys is much less than those on the bad. You know, the media publishes far more bad stuff than good; it draws more attention.

However, I am woefully lagging in my posting and have not had time to get planned posting done. I am elderly and handicappedd and find that I am much slower in my old age, and my vision gives me a hard time when I'm on the computer too long. So some of my planned articles lie unpublished in my folders. I want to get them done, for a more balanced view. I know the posts seem rather one sided right now. That is unfortunate as it does make it appearthat I am anti- this or that. I'm just anti-war. There is plenty of blood guilt to go around on all sides, and also plenty of goodness and compassion.

Thank you for coming by to visit my blog. Drop by http://imperial-sacrifices.blogspot.com any time, also. I have several personal blogs and some art blogs too. Another reason I get so far behind. I love my art blogs. I get so sickened and depressed with war and politics that I must have respite. So I scroll through my art blogs and let my spirit be calm.
